Some dreams grow slowly. Some show up quicker than expected!
For over a decade, I’ve photographed families in fields, backyards, and parks all over the country. And I’ve loved it!
But I kept thinking about having a space of my own. A space with AMAZING light. A space that felt simple and accessible, but also elevated. A space where families could walk in and just breathe.
So here we are…
White walls. Sunshine pouring in all day. Room to move. Space to play.
I am so thrilled to share this space with you!!
Why I Wanted a Studio Space
If you’ve ever tried to schedule family photos around Arkansas weather, you get it.
Humidity. Wind. A toddler who suddenly hates grass. A baby who picked that exact day to skip a nap.
Outdoor sessions will always be the love of my life. But sometimes you just want consistency. Predictable light. More opportunity. A place where we are not fighting the sun or swatting mosquitoes.
This studio gives us that!
Brightroom Studio is a natural light photography studio in West Little Rock designed for simplicity and accessibility. No complicated backdrops. No heavy props. Just beautiful light and a blank canvas.
And the best part? There are no extra fees for families who want to use the studio. If this space fits your family best, we use it! Simple!
What a Studio Session Can Look Like
Picture this:
• Kids twirling in soft window light
• Mom rocking her baby on a white chair
• Siblings racing across the floor barefoot
• A quiet maternity moment against a bright, clean wall
The light changes throughout the day. Love bold, direct sunlight? We’ve got plenty. Prefer that softer, glowy feel? We can adjust for that too!

Studio or not, my goal is the same.

The goal isn’t to quiet the chaos. It’s to embrace and CELEBRATE it!
A Kid-Friendly Studio That Actually Welcomes Kids
Let’s be honest. Some studios feel like museums. (Have you been to the AMFA with a toddler? It’s scary.)
This is not that!
Your toddler is allowed to play. Your baby can crawl around. Someone is probably wearing mismatched socks or decorated herself with stamps before leaving the house. And that is PERFECT.
I created this space to feel relaxed, not rigid. When kids feel free, that’s when the magic happens!
Can Other Photographers Use the Space?
YES!!
While this is my studio home base, Brightroom Studio is also available for other photographers to rent when I’m not shooting.
I love the idea of this space being filled with creativity. Families. Photographers. Little ones learning how to smile at a camera for the first time.
This space was meant to be shared!!!
Will I Host Playful Portrait Pop Ups at Brightroom Studio?
Short answer? Yes.
I’ll still be partnering with other local businesses for Playful Portrait pop-ups. That part isn’t going anywhere!!
But I do plan to host a couple Playful Portrait events right here in the studio throughout the year.
Think simple. Fun. A little creative. A lot of personality. A safe place for the kids who feel overwhelmed walking into a store to have their photo taken.
