HOW’S THIS SOUND…
Natural, slow & sweet newborn sessions
Our time together is intentionally slow-paced and baby-led. We’ll document what life feels like right now in your family — coffee cup in hand and the baby nestled on your shoulder, big siblings wandering in and out, time to feed and soothe.
There are no expectations other than snuggling that fresh new life! The result is photos that are intimate, gorgeous, and oh-so-real.
Your newborn session at home is about how you live in your space
These early days with a new baby revolve around the time in your home — nursing, rocking, soothing. It’s the place you cuddle on the couch with your big kid and the place you watch the sun come up during those early-morning (and I do mean EARLY) feedings.
Okay, but here’s the important bit: In-home sessions don’t require creating a showroom.
I’m focused on your connection as a family, not how clean your baseboards are. (Seriously, please do not scrub the baseboards!) I will look for the best natural light in your home, so if you want to de-clutter at all, focus on those spaces. And if weather allows, we’ll go outside! I love grabbing shots of you with your baby outside your home — someday, if you move, these photos become a perfect time capsule of this season of life.
how it all works
Prepping
Before your session, I’ll help you prep with thoughtful guides and questionnaires designed to get to know you. My goal: Answer your questions before you even have them. When it comes to pregnancy, I KNOW how nice it is to have all the questions answered!
I recommend newborn sessions take place within 2 weeks of birth, if possible.
During your session
Gentle and genuine are the ways I work. That means I’ll guide you to find the best light, but I don’t over-direct. Postpartum can be a weird time, so keeping you and your baby comfy is always my priority. You and your family can move around, grab coffee, whatever you need.
I block off 2 hours for our newborn session.
Picture delivery
Within 2 weeks of our session, you can expect access to your image slideshow. You’ll choose the collection that fits your family best — each comes with a certain number of digital images and print credits to use in my online storefront.
